Ceremonial Teas — Release 001

Enter the ritual.

Whole-leaf teas for the slow way of drinking: a small pot, short steeps, ten rounds and counting.

The House

CHIFIR is a ritual tea house. We take the teas of the gongfu tradition — ripe pu-erh, white tea, and whatever we fall for next — and release them in small, considered editions. No powders posing as medicine, no incense-shop mysticism. Leaf, water, heat, time.

The State

What drinkers call tea drunk.

Long gongfu sessions have a reputation. Somewhere past the fifth steep, people describe a feeling with its own name — tea drunk: warm, clear-headed, unhurried. Tea naturally carries caffeine and L-theanine. Ceremony carries its own weight. We make no promises; effects vary by person, by tea, by afternoon.† The honest way to find out is to sit down and steep.

† A description of what tea people report, not a health claim.
The Process

From orchard to cup in six movements.

Peel is hollowed by hand, filled with leaf, dried in open sun, then left alone to become one thing.
